Elena Manzoni, Di Marineo's mother, said her family trusted in Turkish justice and believed that the killer would be punished according to Turkish laws, the report said.

Manzoni also thanked Turkish police for quickly apprehending the suspect, the agency reported.

Bacca departed from the Italian city of Milan together with Silvia Moro, an artist friend, on March 8. The two artists were hitchhiking to the Israeli city of Tel Aviv with the aim of sending a "peace message" to the world. Â

Pasqualino and Moro separated from each other in Istanbul on March 19. After March 31, no contact could be established with Pasqualino. The 33-year-old artist was found dead in a forest near the town of Gebze in the northwestern province of Kocaeli on April 12. The 38-year-old suspect in the murder, Murat Karatas, was arrested. Â

Bacca's family wanted to immortalize the Italian artist and would open a "mobile museum" to display her works of art, Manzoni said during his meeting with Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry's deputy undersecretary Kemal Fahir Genc in Ankara.

The museum would set off from Bacca's gallery in Italy to tour the world, she added.

Genc told Manzoni that his ministry could support and take part in the "mobile museum" activities, and reiterated that Turkish people strongly condemned the murder of Bacca.

He also thanked Bacca's family for reacting to the incident with understanding, adding such incident could occur anywhere in the world.
