An entourage of Azerbaijani MP’s are to make a historical move by officially visiting the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) – lending their support and acknowledgment to the widely neglected northern part of the island, to commemorate the "July 20 Peace Operations". Over fifty businessmen are expected to join politicians to participate in meetings on the island to find ways in which co-operation can be achieved. A number of Turkish businessmen, who are doing business in Azerbaijan, are also expected to join the bill. July 31, will mark the first flight between Azerbaijan and the TRNC, by Importex – the biggest private aviation company in Azerbaijan.  These moves all come at a time when the people of TRNC feel deeply neglected and wronged by EU policies. It is believed that the solidarity Azerbaijan is ready to show will be followed by other Turkic states, Middle Asian countries and others, such as Pakistan and Bangladesh.  Turkey sent troops to the island on July 20, 1974 – exercising its right as a guarantor as laid down in international agreements. This year’s anniversary will be celebrated under the headline "Peace and Freedom Festival" with unprecedented participation in the history of TRNC.  The spectacular event is slated to draw guests from more that 33 countries. Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül will also be present, as will politicians, members of academies, businessmen and journalists from all over the world.  Â
