The road work was agreed between the two governments following fears of safety of passage to thousands of pilgrims that travel to the region in respect of the ANZAC troops who first scaled the cliffs at Gallipoli 90 years ago on April 24.
Both sides agreed to build the road following the Australians government's request over ensuring safety to those Australians that make the pilgrimage every year.
However, the construction which was meant to be a positive step towards ensuring safe travel to visiting Australians has been under criticism since the beginning of the project.
