Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul has reportedly had Altay Cengizer, Turkey's "Special Consultant Ambassador" to Yerevan, extend invitations to the Yerevan leadership, as well as to Armenian religious leaders across the world to come pay respects in the services for Dink. According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the heated telephone diplomacy carried out over the past days in the wake of Dink's murder in Istanbul has brought forth positive results: while Yerevan has notified Ankara that its top level foreign affairs officials would be attending Dink's funeral, it is also anticipated now that Patriarch Hajak Parsamian from New York City will also be attending.
