ISTANBUL - Little fish are making a big splash at the Mövenpick Hotel in Istanbul.
Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul’s restaurant is featuring a special anchovy menu through Feb. 28.Â
Anchovy dishes menu by chef
Executive Chef Maximilian J.W. Thomae has prepared a menu with an array of anchovy dishes, such as traditional anchovy recipes from the Black Sea, where the anchovy is a staple and key part of the regional culture, as well as contemporary and innovative recipes.
During lunch and dinner, Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul’s AzzuR Restaurant guests can sample the "Anchovy Experience," which includes anchovy soup, stewed anchovy casserole, anchovies wrapped in wine leaves, Scandinavian-style marinated anchovies on zucchini patties, pickled anchovies in tomato aspic, anchovy tatar, anchovy tempura stuffed with olives, and "Mıhlama," a Black Sea-style grated cheese dish, and traditional cornbread.
