MILAN - Carlo Ancelotti wants to stay at AC Milan next season despite reports linking him with Chelsea and Real Madrid, the coach said yesterday.
Media reports have said Chelsea would like Ancelotti to succeed interim manager Guus Hiddink at the end of the season while Real have also been linked with the Italian if Florentino Perez becomes club president again.
"My wish is to remain at Milan. It's of course on condition that we finish at least third and manage qualification for the Champions League," Ancelotti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Third-placed Milan is 14 points behind Serie A leader Inter and has not took the title since 2004. Despite winning the European Cup in 2007, Ancelotti has been told by Milan bosses that third spot is a minimum requirement this term.

"The issue is closed. My aim, which I repeat so everyone understands, is to coach Milan also next season," he added.
Ancelotti blamed a string of injuries for Milan's average showing this season and said Liverpool was the strongest team in Europe. Hiddink was the coach he respected the most, he added.
