According to a statement by the Sivas Governorship, Sinochem representatives Song Lijun, Du Huibin and Jia Xuemin visited Governor Veysel Dalmaz, accompanied by representatives from Gürteks, a mining company.

Noting that Sivas is a rich city in terms of mining potential, Dalmaz said there were many different mining reserves there that had not been tapped to their full extent. Recalling that many investors were interested in the area last year, Dalmaz said the mining company’s aim was to attract Chinese and Indian investors to Sivas.

"It is really important to process the mines in the location [where] they are extracted," Dalmaz said, adding that in recent years Sivas has attracted many investors from various sectors and the governorship is trying to do its best for those who want to invest.

Sinochem Corporation is interested in Sivas’ chrome reserves and is researching the possibility of a joint investment with Gürteks.
