Alfa’s Turkcell holding reduced to 4.99 pct

Altimo said Alfa had sold 62.2 percent of its stake in Turkcell for $90.2 million to Visor Group affiliate Nadash International Holding and Alexander Mamut's Henri Services Limited. The sale, which represented a stake of approximately 8.2 percent of Turkcell, came following a U.S. court decision in favor of Norwegian operator Telenor ordering an Alfa company to sell either its shares in Ukrainian telecom Kyivstar or stakes in Kyivstar competitors, including Turkcell, in excess of 5 percent.
