KAYSERİ – Akbank, Turkey’s biggest bank by market value, is e-mailing its customers to warn them about rising fraud attempts. Akbank said people using the bank’s name have been sending e-mails to customers, directing them to a fake Web site and requesting the approval of their bank account information.
Akbank warned its customers to be aware of these fraud attempts, stating it never requests such information via e-mail.
