40 Turkish citizens who carry the name "Fidel" have been officially invited by the Cuban government to join in 80th birthday celebrations for the Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Opposition CHP MP Fuat Cay, whose daughter is also named "Fidel," is heading up the drive to find a sponsor for airlines tickets for the 40 "Turk Fidel" citizens.

Said Cay, "The Cuban Embassy wanted me to help find a sponsor. All of the hotel charges will be handled by the Cuban government, so all that's left for us to take care of is plane tickets, which will cost $800 a piece."

Fidel Castro, who was born in 1926, will reportedly be hosting the "Turk Fidels" in government lodging if in fact that do make it to the widespread 80th birday celebrations.
