The 13th High Criminal Court in Istanbul, which has summarized reading the indictment in order to accelerate the process, concluded the document in the 9th session of the controversial case.

The Ergenekon operation was launched in June 2007 with the discovery of grenades in a house in Istanbul's Umraniye district. Since then over one hundred people have been detained in nine waves of arrests in the controversial operation.

Another indictment would be submitted for those detained in the latest waves of the operation, including two retired generals, journalists and a business group leader.
