-- STAMFORD BRIDGE WAIT FOR US, WE'RE COMING

Fenerbahce turned its home, Sukru Saracaoglu Stadium into a victory arena in Europe and buried 420 million Euro worth Chelsea into the grass. Fenerbahce which was undefeated for 12 matches in a row at its home in the European leagues, made life unbearable for Chelsea in the second half. Fenerbahce who fell behind in the first half with an own goal by Deivid, pressed hard on its opponent in the second half. Scoring two goals on its opponent Chelsea, which had not given way to any goals for 686 minutes, Fenerbahce winked at the Semi-Finals, before the return match in London on April 8th.

PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave date for the Article 301 in Sweden. Erdogan said the bill changing Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code would be brought to Parliament after the draft law on Social Security was adopted. "The Constitutional Court will do its job and we will do ours," said Erdogan on the prohibition lawsuit filed against Justice and Development Party (AKP).

Fenerbahce soccer team of Turkey proved that it is one of the best teams of Europe by defeating Chelsea. Fenerbahce gained advantage on the way to semi-final.

-- AKP TURNS THE ROUTE TO EU

PM Erdogan relayed important messages during his visit to Sweden. Erdogan said the government was determined on EU full membership bid, and indicated that Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) would be removed from the agenda soon. Erdogan said there would be tv broadcast in Kurdish language.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave important messages from Sweden. Defense: Commenting on the closure case filed against his ruling Justice & Development Party (AKP), Erdogan said, "Constitutional Court will do its job and we will do our homework for defense." Erdogan said it would not be right to speak out while sitting on the chair of accused. Our goal is EU: "EU membership is a strategic goal for us," PM Erdogan 301 soon: Erdogan answered a question on article 301 of Turkey's Penal Code. "The legal arrangement will be debated at the parliament after the social security reform. 301 will be out of Turkey's and EU's agenda," he said.

England's Chelsea, the most expensive football team of the world, could not make it at Fenerbahce's Sukru Saracoglu Stadium. Fenerbahce defeated Chelsea 2-1 which is a good score for the second leg match to be played in London on April 8th. Chelsea conceded a goal after 686 minutes and 16 matches. They were beaten for the first time since the last 8 matches. Because they have never been to Kadikoy before.

"We will soon drop the article 301 (of Turkey's Penal Code) from agenda. We will submit it to the parliament after social security reform," Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters in Sweden.

-- APPREHENDED IN SPAIN

Orhan Asliturk, ex-husband of former Sisli (a district in Istanbul) mayor Gulay Asliturk, was arrested in Spain's Malaga. Turkish Justice Ministry said it asked the extradition of Turkish businessman. Orhan Asliturk was wanted for 10 years with red notice. Three courts issued arrest warrants for him on charges of committing forgery and tax delinquency (457 million YTL).

-- SUPREME COURT TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST VERBAL ATTACKS

Supreme Court (Yargitay) Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced it would take legal action against those who violate the limits of criticism against the Chief Public Prosecutor Abdurrahman Yalcinkaya who filed a prohibition lawsuit against Justice and Development Party (AKP) for "being the focal point of anti-secular actions". "The news stories in the press and the media, extending or narrowing the scope of the lawsuit that are atributed to Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, or the comments on these, are not approved by us," said the press release issued by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

-- CHELSEA COULDN'T MAKE IT OUT OF KADIKOY

Fenerbahce is undefeated in Sukru Saracoglu Stadium at its home. Fenerbahce defeated Chelsea 2 to 1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final and carried its hope for Semi-Finals to the return game. Fenerbahce who fell behind with an own goal by Deivid, won against Chelsea with goals by Colin Kazim, and Deivid in the second half. Fenerbahce will advance to semi-finals with a draw or win at the return match in London on March 8th.

-- CHIEF PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE WARNS

Supreme Court (Yargitay) Chief Public Prosecutor's Office believes that remarks and articles targeting them after the indictment for Dissolution of AKP violated the limits of criticism. "Necessary legal steps will most definitely be taken, concerning remarks
and articles that are insulting, threatening or trying to influence the trial process," said the press release of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

-- ARTICLE 301 WILL BE BROUGHT TO PARLIAMENT NEXT WEEK

The government made another promise about the Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code which had been anticipated to be changed for over two years. Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin, said they discussed the issue in last week's council of ministers meeting. He said the bill arranging the issue would be submitted to the Parliament next week. Also, PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Article 301 would be amended shortly.

-- TURKEY WILL NOT SEND COMBATANT TROOPS

President Abdullah Gul said Turkey would not send combant forces to regions of clash in Afghanistan. Gul said, "Turkey is very closely interested in Afghanistan; however, we do not have any intention to send combatant forces. We will continue to send humanitarian aid and heal the wounds of the Afghan people."

-- 10 YEARS OF LIVING IN GREAT STYLE ENDS IN MALAGA

Orhan Asliturk, a fugitive Turkish businessman, was apprehended in Spanish city of Malaga. Several Turkish courts had issued arrest warrants against Asliturk on charges of several crimes, including committing fraud, corruption and imaginary exports. Turkish Justice Ministry said Asliturk would be extradited to Turkey.
