In the run-up to the meeting of Cypriot leaders to end the island’s decades- long division, Turkish and Turkish Cypriot leaders will meet this week for the final time to revisit their long-standing position and devise a common strategy, Turkish Daily News (TDN) reported on Wednesday.

“The position of the Turkish side has remained intact for 30 to 40 years. We want a solution to the Cyprus problem based on political equality and Turkey’s guarantorship. These are incontestable issues for us,” a Turkish Cypriot official told TDN.
