We should be proud of these heroes. They accomplished almost impossible missions in only eight days. They killed 240 members of the murder organization PKK. They lost 24 of their friends but did not hurt any civilians.

And they returned home in line with orders.

These are very clear. But we have something else to say afterwards. You were saying proudly that “We made the order. The army is executing it” when the operation against the PKK hide-outs has started. And nobody objected this. Because in a democratic country this is the way it should be.

But if everything was made in line with your orders what would be your answer to this question: “Was you informed that our troops started to withdraw from the operation areas in the early hours of February 29”? “If you say we knew” then why did you wait until 2.15 pm local time (GMT 12:15) to revise the Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan’s prepared speech text, in which he was saying “Our troops will return home as soon as we achieve the planned targets?”

We shouldn’t get surprised with the attitude of government or a sudden ending of the operation. Nobody should say “The mission accomplished, we returned”. In fact everybody knows that this operation was carried out by the decision of US to make us to fight with PKK and their support. We shouldn’t deny that this sudden end caused by the US’ decision that it was enough.
