ISTANBUL - Turkey’s first quarter current account deficit came in at $1.155 billion, representing a 90.6 percent decline compared to the same period last year, according to figures released on Monday.
The current account deficit recorded $12.303 billion for the first quarter of 2008.  Â

The latest figures reveal Turkey’s March current account fell to $992 million, which represents a 76.8 percent decline on the previous year figure of $4.279 billion.

While the current account deficit was $172 million for January, it fell by $9 million in Febuary.
