Legendary U.S. rockers R.E.M. to perform in Istanbul

Turkey is one stop on the band’s European tour to promote its latest studio album "Accelerate".

R.E.M. will perform at Istanbul's Kurucesme Arena.

The U.S. based rock group, R.E.M. formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 with members, Michael Stipe (lead vocals), Peter Buck (guitar), Mike Mills (bass guitar), and Bill Berry (drums and percussion).

The band achieved great success with songs like "Losing my Religion", "Shiny Happy People", "Everybody Hurts" and "The One I Love".
