İzmir to host archaeology workshop

The International Archaeology Workshop will be held Oct. 26 through 28 and will focus on the glass arts in Anatolia and the eastern Mediterranean between the fourth and eighth centuries.

Ergün Laflı, a professor in the university’s archaeology department, said that information on the production, sale and distribution of glass and glass artifacts will be gathered with the help of Turkish and international professors and students working on the subject. The workshop will also feature 20-minute speeches in various languages that will be published as a book.
