Turkey, Syria to sign agreement

DAMASCUS - Ankara and Damascus are set to sign an agreement to exchange their nationals serving time in jail in Turkey and Syria.
The agreement is expected to be made during Turkish Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Şahin’s three-day visit to Damascus, which begins today. Under the agreement, Turkish and Syrian convicts could request a transfer to serve out the rest of their sentences in prisons in their own countries.
