Turkeys chief EU negotiator meet EU ambassadors

Egemen Bagis, Turkey's chief negotiator for European Union (EU) talks, met the ambassadors of EU member states over a luncheon in Ankara on Tuesday.

Before the luncheon, Bagis said that Turkey's ruling and opposition parties as well as its people were eager to become a full member of the European Union and it was the project of the future.Â

Recalling that Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and he paid a formal visit to Belgian capital of Brussels after his appointment as the chief negotiator, Bagis said he saw that all EU authorities backed Turkey's EU accession process.

"It (Turkey's EU adhesion process) is the project of Turkey's next generation. We expect everyone to assist it. We want to cooperate with everyone. We hope that Turkey will reach this target," Bagis said.
