’Turkey should avoid the Mideast initiative’

ISTANBUL - It would be to the benefit of Turkey not to participate in the United States’ plan for a Greater Middle East initiative, former CIA official Graham Fuller told BBC Turkish in an interview broadcasted yesterday.

Stating the U.S. initiative has become a disaster, Fuller said Turkey has become hostage to its Kurdish problem and has to solve it in order to become a regional power.
