Iran joins chorus of voices on Turkish operation into northern Iraq: We are worried.
Iran is reportedly monitoring closely the land operation started up by the Turkish Armed Forces into Northern Iraq on Thursday night. According to Iranian sources in Ankara, Iran is quite worried about the new land operation, expressing hopes that Turkey will respect the unity of Iraqi soil during the operation.

In the meantime, on the same day that Turkish troops entered Northern Iraq, both Iran and Iraq signed a reciprocal agreement to build new police stations along eachothers' borders. The new security agreement between Iran and Iraq took place just one week and a half in advance of the coming March 2 scheduled visit by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad to Baghdad.              Â
