Turkish exports break $100 billion mark in past 12 months

The Turkish Congress of Exporters (TIM) have released new figures showing that September export levels reached 8.9 billion dollars, and that export rate over the previous 12 months has thus passed the targeted 100 billion dollar point.

 TIM head Oguz Satici announced the new figures for September 2007 at TIM's general assembly salon, noting that September 2007 export rates had increased 17.25% in comparison with September 2006.

Who are the Turkish export champions?
 
The sectors experiencing the highest rate of export through this past month of September have been the automotive sector, with $1,804,000,000, the clothing and textile sector, with $1,337,000,000, and the iron-steel sector, with $856,000,000 in exports.
