Danske Bank issues report warning on financial market situation in Turkey

With a wave of sales rocking foreign financial markets, experts are warning that Turkey, along with some other more developing countries, is set to be highly affected by the volatile situation. It appears that in fact Turkey has already received its share of the waves rocking the markets; fast purchased of the dollar have already pushed it up to 1.32 YTL since this moning's opening of the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

A report on the current situation issued today by the Danske Bank notes that it is specifically focusing on Turkey, South Africa, Hungary, and Iceland among developing markets, explaining "These are all countries with large trade gaps, and thus large needs for funds. If the credit situation continues to worsen, these countries could have problems finding funds to close their trade gaps....."
