Following the devastating earthquake in Pakistan on October 8th, 2005, a total of 135 Turkish health personnel went to this country and helped more than 100 thousand Pakistani citizens. Ali Coskun, an official from the Turkish Health Ministry, told that another medical team of 22 doctors and nurses will leave for Pakistan tomorrow.
“In the Turkish field hospital in Pakistan, 11,276 patients have been treated and 210 patients have been operated so far. Also mobile medical teams treated 503 patients,” he added.
