PM Erdogan: Let's close the period of hate and animosity

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Turkey's southeastern region for personal investigation into recent violent events in Semdinli, Yuksekova, and Hakkari, addressed citizens, calling on them to "close the period of hatred and animosity."
Arriving in Semdinli by helicopter, PM Erdogan visited the sites of the November 1 and 9 bombings, and then spoke to crowds assembled in front of the Municipality Buildings in Semdinli. Some of what he said is as follows:
"Our primary identity is that of citizen of the Turkish Republic"
"I have said that we will await the fair decision of justice, and that we will not allow this business to remain unsolved. We are serious in our intent to follow it up. This country has unfortunately 40 thousand of its citizens over the last 30 years. There is no other country in the world which has paid such a high price for terror. What we want is for the people of this country to live side by side, hand in hand, no matter what ethnic group, no matter what religion, no matter what regional background they are from....Turk, Kurd, Circassian, Laz, whatever comes to mind, these are all citizens of the Turkish Republic, united together under this identity."
From Semdinli, PM Erdogan flew by helicopter to the Provincial Governor's offices in Yuksekova, meeting here with representatives from civil society foundations and neighborhood leaders. Responding to groups chanting slogans at him, PM Erdogan had these sharp words for protestors: "I am someone who does not like the guiding of a country through slogans shouted about justice, the nation, or myself. We know exactly what it is that we need to do. We have to succeed together at the job in front of us."
